Empire Sound and Lighting Co. is a full-service design, production and entertainment company based in Orlando, Florida. Its published positioning is straightforward: entertainment production, and design & installation.
That covers full-service audio production, lighting production, video event production, technical consulting and design for theatrical and entertainment production venues — plus equipment sales and rentals, installation, technical staffing and technical training.
The work runs from temporary production environments built for a single event to permanent systems a venue operates every night.
Two sides of the same company
Audio, lighting, video and control have to work together in a hall that exists for three days — and in a venue that opens again tomorrow. Empire's two business paths apply the same set of technical disciplines to those two very different conditions.

Temporary production environments
Technical production built for a specific event, operated for its run, and struck when it ends. Load-in constraints, show timing and live operation define the design.
Path 02
Permanent entertainment environments
Systems specified into a building — designed, installed, programmed and handed over to the people who will run them every day, with training as part of the scope.
The technology behind the experience
Empire works across a set of interconnected technical disciplines rather than a single trade. A moving light cue, a laser aperture, a camera feed and a console output all end up in the same room, on the same power and the same control network — so they get designed with each other in mind.
